The Korean Medical Volunteer Association (KMVA, 대한의료봉사협회) is a non-profit public-interest organization representing medical volunteering in the Republic of Korea. It was founded with five medical and pharmaceutical volunteer organizations at its core:
- Korean Doctors’ Volunteer Association (대한의사봉사회)
- Korean Dentists’ Volunteer Association (대한치과의사봉사회)
- Korean Medicine Doctors’ Volunteer Association (대한한의사봉사회)
- Korean Pharmacists’ Volunteer Association (대한약사봉사회)
- Korean Nurses’ Volunteer Association (대한간호봉사회)
Building on cooperation among medical volunteer organizations and medical volunteers across the country, KMVA strengthens the public value and professional expertise of medical volunteering, puts respect for life and the value of sharing into practice, and is building a sustainable culture of medical volunteering and social contribution.
